2024 Project Summary
A grant of £1000 to support the installation of a community water purification system in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
Dudu Amisi, Director at YOCODESOP explained that many residents rely on contaminated water sources, leading to frequent waterborne illnesses. This project involved purchasing and installing a water filtration system, training community members on its maintenance, and promoting hygiene practices. The project aimed to significantly reduce health risks and improve the overall well-being of the camp’s residents. Once the water tank was installed a water collecting station was created and is now providing safe, clean water to residents.
