2022 Project Summary
A grant of £1000 to support the reconstruction of Mthumba Community Based Childcare Centre, Chikwawa District.
Anderson Biliat, Project Coordinator, DIN Malawi told us that the Mthumba area was badly affected following Cyclone Ana in January 2022 and approximately 1500 people were forced to leave their homes following structural damage to the buildings The local Community Based Childcare Centre (CBCC) was also severely damaged leaving children aged 3-5 years old without safe shelter. The FOMA grant will assist in reconstructing the CBCC, enhancing enrolment in classes again.
